Cheating Death

What the car looked like beforeAfter watching the cup final at a friends house in Silkstone Barnsley, me and two other lads set off for home in my Rover Metro pictured (Rio was his name). Approaching a bend on the Silkstone Bypass, I saw a car coming round the corner on my side of the road heading straight towards me at a speed of 70mph maybe more. The car was overtaking another car so it was on my side of the road and had clearly not seen me coming so quickly I managed to steer into the edge up a curb and as far onto the banking as possible and the car hit my side of the car and sent us spinning 180 degrees so I was facing the opposite direction from which i was driving torwards and in the middle of the road.

The car had lost a rear tire and the front windscreen had fell out and the drivers side was crushed in about a metre meaning I had been pushed towards the passenger side of thecar!

Fortunatly nobody was seriously injured and the fire engine and police were called to deal with the incident which stopped traffic.

The police said that if the cars had hit head on then everyone involved in the crash would have been dead as both cars would have plowed through each other. They told us we survived by a matter of inches.

 The moral of the story

This near death incident occured after watching a very boring FA Cup Final and after the incident I have learned to appreciate life more. So it is my duty to make sure that if your going to watch a game of football before you potentially die.

Don’t watch Manchester United and Chelsea.

Thank you
